Description
African Bird’s Eye (ABE) is one of the hottest commercial chillies grown in Kenya, with deep red colour and high pungency. Supplied fresh for retail and food service, or dried for spice processors and sauce makers.
- Heat: Approx. 50,000–175,000 SHU
- Fresh spec: 2–3 cm pods, red or green, stems on
- Dried spec: Moisture ≤ 10%, stemless or with stems
- Packing: Fresh 2 kg / 5 kg cartons; dried 10–25 kg poly-lined bags
- Compliance: KEPHIS phytosanitary; aflatoxin testing on dried lots
- MOQ: 300 kg fresh; 500 kg dried
